Don't Miss: Event to Benefit Fred's Pantry, Peekskill During the Revolutionary War

There are tons of ways to keep busy around Cortlandt and Peekskill this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you.

Benefit for CHOP (Caring for the Homeless of Peekskill): What Moves You? The Jam and Bread Session at Embark
When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: EMBARK@EMC at 925 South Street in Peekskill
Why go? Enjoy a night out with entertainment from an animator, a harpist, a poet and a singer/songwriter. Admission for adults is $15 ($5 for kids). All proceeds will benefit Fred's Pantry in Peekskill.

George Washington Anniversary Trolley Tour
When: 3:45 p.m. Sunday
Where: In front of the Birdsall House at 970 Main Street in Peekskill
Why go? Historian Frank Goderre will "transport you back in time" to when General Washington first rode into Peekskill in 1776, organizers say. The tour will last an hour and a half and attendees will hear about the area's role during the Revolutionary War.
