Most of the candidates seem to say the same things "I am comitted to high quality…Read More education" etc etc. Only Rolv (Nick) Nicolaysen said things like "There has been no attention been spent on conservation of resources. We seem to be throwing good money after bad with no regard to its lack of effectiveness". Peekskill is one year of Carmelo Anthony's salary away from spending a tenth of a billion dollars on a yearly budget. We have multiple asssitant superintendents making more than Cuomo and they keep wanting to raise the taxes on senior citizens among others to pay for these. More and more money evey year and the schools get worse.

Now if my instincts kicked in and I almost went on him physically. You DO NOT run up on someone coming out of their car like that, asking for money. Of course had the nerve to act aggravated when I didn't give him anything. You dont that in a parking lot. Ever.

The family waiting had the audacity to take mechandise from the rack and bag men's sports clothes while no one was watching. Right in front of young kids. Really messed up!

Why not ask the neighbors…Read More of the soon-to-be closed HVHC Methadone Clinic -- the veterinarian, residents in hear-by homes, the stores and restaurants in the shopping center, etc. -- have they experienced any "problems" with the clients going to the clinic ?? Personally, I believe the "cops" should be focusing on the known areas to buy drugs -- it does not take a rocket scientist to see the dealers. What happened to the bike patrols used by the police dept ???

A recent study actually shows that the highest homicide rates are in the states with the fewest gun controls. States like Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi and Alaska just to name a few.
Sure, there are fewer homicides in Alaska than in New York, but adjusted for population, the per-ca-pita homicide rate is significantly lower in New York.
