However knowing Peekskill as I do I can think of several bars that bring in more active criminals and drug dealers than any methadone clinic ever could

We have an amazing line-up of talent of performing artists at the Energy Movement Center again this year, plus the restaurants are jumping in with fabulous art exhibits on their walls, artist from the area are joining our group shows at the Peekskill Coffee House, Energy Movement Center and a juried show at the Westchester Community College Gallery! But mostly, if you listen carefully, you can almost hear the hustle and bustle of artist in their downtown studios finishing up work, dusting and sweeping and showing their work just right for this event.
So you'd better not get Shanghai'd in China because when you get back we'll have LOTS to talk about! Thanks again, Margaret and Peekskill loves you, too.

A recent study actually shows that the highest homicide rates are in the states with the fewest gun controls. States like Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi and Alaska just to name a few.
Sure, there are fewer homicides in Alaska than in New York, but adjusted for population, the per-ca-pita homicide rate is significantly lower in New York.
