Traffic on Two Peekskill Streets; Sports Physicals; Halloween Happenings

Monday will bring sunny skies and a high of 61 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tuesday looks mostly cloudy with a high of about 53 degrees, but the sun is expected to sneak out. There's a chance of sprinkles before 9 a.m., and a likely high of 56 degrees, Wednesday. Expect cloudy skies and a high of 62 Thursday followed by possible showers and temperatures in the mid-60s Friday.

In municipal news: The Cortlandt town board will meet tonight for a work session at 7. On this evening's Committee of the Whole/Common Council agendas in Peekskill: the traffic situations on Longview Avenue and Pemart Avenue, appointments to boards and commissions, a surplus of city-owned rifles to be traded in for two shotguns, and more.

Winter sports physicals are happening Thursday at Peekskill City Schools. There are two Halloween parades this week at the Hendrick Hudson School District, and at least two Lakeland elementary schools will host book fairs. Visit school district websites for more events.
