The City of Peekskill and the Town of Cortlandt will host swearing-in ceremonies next week and next weekend for newly elected, or reelected, officials.
In Cortlandt, the supervisor, town clerk, town justice, receiver of taxes and town council members will be sworn in at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5 in the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room at town hall (1 Heady Street). Find more information, and RSVP, here.
In Peekskill, the mayor, city council members and county legislators will be sworn in at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1 in the Common Council Chambers at city hall (840 Main Street).
Mayor-elect Frank Catalina is hoping to have a resolution passed that day appointing Vivian Cyndi McKenzie as deputy mayor.
