Cortlandt Planning Board; Picture Retakes; Turkey Run
Monday: The Peekskill Common Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. for a committee of the whole meeting. Agenda items include an inter-municipal agreement (IMA) regarding police mutual aid and the turkey run. There is a town board work session in Cortlandt at 7 p.m. There are PTA meetings at three Lakeland elementary schools tonight: Benjamin Franklin, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Finally, the National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies and a high of about 45 degrees during the day.
Tuesday: It's Election Day and the polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. There's a Peekskill Board of Education meeting at 7 p.m. On the agenda: A budget update, guidelines for speaking to the board and a donation of approximately 50 turkeys. There is a planning board meeting in Cortlandt at 7 p.m. Board members will hear about an application and draft environmental impact statement from Croton Realty & Development Inc. regarding "preliminary plat approval and for wetland, tree removal and steep slope permits for a 26-lot major subdivision," according to the agenda. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of about 49 degrees.
Wednesday: Financial Night at Copper Beach Middle School starts at 7 p.m. Expect clouds and warmer weather, with temperatures peaking at 60 degrees.
Thursday: It's picture retake day at Buchanan-Verplanck and Frank G. Lindsey elementary schools. From 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the Peekskill High School student council will host a blood drive. Registration is happening at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library for Thanksgiving crafts: 4:15 p.m. Nov. 21 (kindergarten through age 4) and 4:15 p.m. Nov. 22 (grades one through three). The forecast calls for showers, clouds and a high of about 68 degrees.
Friday: The first marking period ends today forHendrick Hudson High School students. It's also the last day to register for next month's SAT test without paying a late fee. It should be sunny with a high around 51 degrees.
