2008 graduate Mookie Jones, who was a member of the Syracuse University basketball team, has left the school and team for what he said were "family" reasons.

Panas grad Gentile shines again for Pace 

We thank the Pace University Sports Information Department for submitting this Jan. 21 event:

SYRACUSE, N.Y.-  The Pace women’s swimming fell in their final dual meet of the season as they lost 156-136 to the Dolphins of Le Moyne College. The Setters fall to 5-3 on the season.

Cassandra Gentile (Cortland Manor, NY/Walter Panas) posted a pair in the diving events as she posted a 173.20 in the 1-meter event and a 212.75 in the 3-meter event. 

Next up for the Setters is the Northeast-10 Conference Championships hosted by Southern Connecticut State University from February 2-4.

 

Siegel in the record books

Hendrick Hudson's Phil Siegel tied Sean Brophy's school record for wins, 116, in a 58-20 triumph against visiting Lakeland/Panas Jan. 19.
