Sailors win first Section 1 game
's ice-hockey squad won its first Section 1 contest with a 4-2 triumph against Byram Hills Dec. 16.

Temple wins bowl game
Peekskill graduate and Temple offensive lineman Derek Dennis and his Owls teammates won the school's second bowl game ever and first since 1979 on Dec. 17 with a 37-15 triumph against Wyoming in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.

Girls hoop results
Walter Panas lost to sister school Lakeland 34-30 in the championship game of the Walter Panas Holiday Tournament Dec. 17. Christine Myers led the Panthers with eight points.
Hendrick Hudson defeated Riverside 53-31 in the consolation game.
Alyssa Small recorded a game-high 18 points with Kennedy Sherman recording 12 points.
Meghan Lynch made the all-tournament team for the Sailors.
