  • Government offices: The municipal offices for Buchanan, Cortlandt, Croton and Peekskill are closed for Washington's Birthday. Strictly speaking, Monday is known as Washington's Birthday (though the great man was born Feb. 22), and has only become known as "Presidents Day" more recently to also encompass Abraham Lincoln's Feb. 12 birthday (in New York, a state holiday).
  • Libraries: The Field, Hendrick Hudson and Croton libraries are closed.
  • Post offices—There will be no mail delivered or sent Monday.
  • Public schools—No school Monday due to the holiday.
