Company: Power Cable Would Run Underwater in Hudson, End in Cortlandt Area

About 65 residents turned out Monday night to hear from—and question—the folks behind the West Point Transmission project. It calls for a power cable, equipped to carry 1,000 megawatts of electricity, to run below the bed of the Hudson River for about 80 miles, from a converter station in Greene County's Athens to one in  Verplanck.

Photos of the slideshow presented Monday are attached to this post. Click through and leave your thoughts in the comments. Check back with Patch soon for more on the project.
