State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks released the following Sunday:
The New York State Police at Cortlandt are seeking any witnesses to a motor vehicle accident which occurred on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at about 4:10 a.m. on Colabaugh Pond Road [in Croton-on-Hudson]. The accident involved the rollover of a BMW SUV, color black. A black male suspect was observed running from the scene on Colabaough Pond Road towards Mount Airy Road. Any witnesses to the crash or the suspect's flight are asked to contact the State Police at 914-737-7171. All calls will be kept confidential.
