Troopers: Cortlandt Man Stole $12,000 Worth of Jewelry

A 26-year-old Cortlandt man is accused of stealing $12,000 worth of jewelry from another resident, according to state police.

Troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Nathaniel Tisdell Tuesday in connection with the crime, which the complainant reported in June. Officials told Patch the two "are known to each other" but said they could not be more specific.

The items Tisdell allegedly stole include a gold chain and a Breitling watch.

Police charged him with third-degree grand larceny, a felony. Following arraignment in Cortlandt Justice Court, the defendant was sent to the Westchester County Jail on $20,000 cash bail. He is due back in court Monday.
