Silence Inside, but Obscenities Outside the Peekskill Library, Police Say

A Peekskill woman was arrested for allegedly shouting obesities in front of the Peeksill Field Library.

A Peekskill woman who was arrested for allegeldy shouting obscenities outside of the was additionally charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, on June 5 at 6:15 p.m. Officer Labodin saw Melissa Hakoun, 23, of Peekskill, in a verbal argument with another person. When he approached her, Hakoun allegedly refused to stop shouting and was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, a violation. Subsequent to her arrest, a small quantity of crack cocaine was recovered from her person, police said, leading to the drug charge. Hakoun was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
