A Cortlandt Manor man faces felony forgery charges after he allegedly used phony prescriptions at Peekskill pharmacy earlier this month.
Police arrested Michael Smith, 47, Monday and charged him with criminal possession of a forged instrument. On Jan. 2, Peekskill police allege that Smith walked into a local pharmacy and presented five forged prescriptions.
Smith was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.

Man, you guys are brutal. I admit it's not a great display of tonsorial art but, come on, show a little mercy here. It's bad enough the guy's probably going to jail but to be mercilessly ragged on for a facial hair error in judgment? Rough crowd here.

Us show mercy? Was Mike Smith showing mercy when he inflicted that stache on thousands of innocent bystanders? I think not. He was committing assault with a deadly stache and many of us haven't been the same since.

OMG! This is arguably the most hysterical thread I have encountered! Sooooo needed the laugh you all created! (Composing myself now) ... and another great job in Peekskill in thwarting the ongoing epidemic of prescription drug abuse and trafficking. Side note ... guessing the forged instrument must have been better than his stache trimmer

Two days a go I watched a lady jogging on the track with her loose dog. The dog wasn't even supposed to be on the track no less loose. Some kid or elderly lady is going to get bit. Loose dogs also end up in more fights with other dogs.

He must have been here about a year and then he left when the new format was introduced. Both times patch started cooking and then it got cut down just as new staff got their mojo going. A new editor with a new format seems like starting from scratch again. I know AOL/Patch needs to get some cash flow going quick (from what I've read) but I can't see what they are trying to do exactly by tipping the cart over and over
