Peekskill Man Charged with Abusing Grandmother

Elegra Dolman is currently being held in Westchester County Jail with a $15,000 bail.

A 43-year-old Peekskill man is scheduled to appear in city court on March 7  after he allegedly abused his 84-year-old grandmother.

Peekskill police arrested Elegra Dolman, 43, and charged him with a misdemeanor count for endangering the welfare of his grandmother.

Police allege that Dolman became mentally and physically  abusive toward his grandmother after she did not meet his demands for money.

Dolman was arrested on Feb. 13 while walking down Welcher Avenue. He was arraigned and sent Westchester County Jail with bail set at $15,000.

Dolman's grandmother was assisted by officials from the county's adult protective services office.

From Dolman's perspective, there could be no better place for him to be arrested than a street called Welcher Avenue.
