Peekskill city police arrested Jason Roberts, 33, and charged him with first-degree criminal contempt after he repeatedly harassed an acquaintance in violation of an order of protection.
Roberts, who police said is homeless, was arrested Sunday for repeatedly sending numerous threatening text and email messages to the protected party during a period that lasted several days.
Roberts was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail with a $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Peekskill city court on Monday.
