Estranged Husband Steals Phones: Police Blotter

He posted $10,000 bail and was released.

A Cortlandt woman told police April 27 that her estranged husband—against whom she already had an order of protection—broke into her house, held a gun to her head, and stole her cell phone and house phone.

An investigation conducted by the state police's Cortlandt Bureau of Criminal Investigation concluded with the arrest of Gerald Martin, 46, at a Tarrytown gas station on April 28, 2014 at 7:11 a.m.

Martin was charged with Burglary-1st Degree, a felony, and Criminal Contempt-1st Degree for violating an active court order of protection prohibiting him from having any contact with the victim.

He was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court on April 29, 2014, where he posted $10,000 cash bail and was released.
