Motorists should expect residual delays.

The New York State Department of Transportation reports that the Bear Mountain Parkway between Carhart Street and Route 6 was closed at 3:33 p.m. due to an accident.
The closure could last up to five hours, the DOT said.
Police at the scene are turning around and diverting traffic.
