Cortlandt Troopers: Colorado Man Drove Drunk

A 20-year-old Denver man is facing a drunken driving charge after he was stopped for speeding on Route 9, officials said.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrested the man at about 10:05 p.m. Monday. They stopped him in Philipstown for speeding.

The defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.17-percent, according to authorities. The legal limit is 0.08.

Police charged the man with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He is due in court Jan. 6.
