Police: Cortlandt Man Breaks into Apartment, Eats Food, Steals Money, Tries to Steal WiFi

A Cortlandt man is scheduled to appear in court Friday after he allegedly broke into his downstairs neighbor’s apartment, located at 20 Broadway.

State Police arrested Sean Gunther, 30, and charged him with second-degree burglary after the incident was reported to them at about 9 a.m. Sunday. Police allege that Gunther broke into the apartment and stole money and food.

Gunther also allegedly used the computer and tried to set up a wireless connection so he could steal his neighbor’s Internet connection.

Gunther was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Town Court Friday.
