Cops: Crash Leads to Felony for Peekskill Man with License Suspensions

A 26-year-old Peekskill man who was injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a vehicle had multiple suspensions on his license, police say.

State troopers arrested Sean L. Gordon following the Sept. 14 crash on East Main Street in Cortlandt, according to a statement released Wednesday. Gordon was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla because he sustained injuries to his head and legs. They were reportedly non-life-threatening. No one else was hurt.

Gordon was operating the unregistered motorcycle without insurance and without the proper motorcycle endorsement on his license, according to authorities.

Because of outstanding suspensions on Gordon's license, police charged him with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony. The charge typically indicates at least 10 separate suspensions.

Gordon is due Oct. 3 in Cortlandt Justice Court.
