Seeking Contestants for the Annual Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill Pageant

Peekskill Pageants is seeking young Hispanic ladies from all areas, not just Peekskill to compete in the Annual Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill Pageant.  The Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill pageant helps inspire the lives of young Hispanic-American ladies to take pride and promote their heritage and culture.  We encourage our contestants to gain confidence and emphasize their grace, poise, originality and intelligence, while providing an outstanding leadership opportunity for young Hispanic women.  We strive to enhance the self-image of the young ladies and provide a platform for them to showcase their heritage and create an awareness of their Hispanic roots.  

The competition is open to contestants who meet the following criteria: 

• Must be of Hispanic descent, not just Mexican

• Must be single and never married, pregnant or have had a child 

• Must be between the ages of 16 and 26

• Must submit 2 digital color photos, 1 headshot and 1 full body 

• Must pay a $25 non refundable registration fee 

The contestants will be judged in the following categories:  photogenic qualities, interviews and evening wear.  A panel of judges will be chosen to help select Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill 2014 through a pageant voting process.  

We are also seeking young girls to compete for the Little Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill Pageant. The competition is open to young girls who meet the following criteria: 

• Must be of Hispanic descent, not just Mexican

• Must be between the ages of 5 and 9 

• Must submit 2 digital color photos, 1 headshot and 1 full body 

• Must pay a $25 non refundable registration fee 

The Little Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill competition is not a full beauty pageant.  Two digital photographs and an essay on what her Hispanic heritage means to her must be submitted.   The competition is primarily judged on the essay and the photogenic appeal and character displayed within the digital photographs.  

The competition will be held on Friday, May 2nd and the winner will be crowned the same day. She will then reign over the Cinco de Mayo Celebration on May 3rd.  The winner of the Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill Pageant will receive a Crown, Sash, Scepter, $500 and the entrance fee to another pageant (up to $500); should they so desire.  The winner of the Little Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill Pageant will receive $100, crown and a sash.
