The Fresh Air Fund Announces New Local Chairperson in Westchester County

The Fresh Air Fund is pleased to announce that Judith Brisson, of Ossining, is the new Chairperson for the Western Westchester area! Judith, her husband Greg and their son Jack, 6, opened their hearts and homes to Rohan, 8, for the first time last summer and Judith looks forward to taking on the volunteer leadership role. Please join her in making The Fresh Air Fund’s 138th summer memorable for even more New York City children as we continue to grow the Westchester County area!

“My favorite part about hosting Rohan this summer was giving him new experiences. He had a lot of firsts - and seconds - with us, including: eating corn on the cob, watching Fourth of July fireworks on our front lawn, swimming, going to camp, hiking, biking without training wheels, living with a pet bunny and a younger brother, and much more,” says Judith. “Whether it was the vocal farm animals we listened to at Muscoot Farm, the huge bullfrog we saw at Teatown's lakeside trail, or the Turtle that crawled onto my in-laws' yard while we were swimming, it seemed that wherever we went nature was coming out to personally greet Rohan!”

The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer experiences to more than 1.7 million New York City children from low-income communities since 1877. For more information on hosting a Fresh Air child next summer, please contact Judith Brisson at 1-914-523-3713 or The Fresh Air Fund at 1-800-367-0003.
