councilwoman threatens local resident

In the last council meeting a local resident (Leesther Brown) who has been very outspokened about alot of issues in this city asked councilwoman Mckenize was it true that her husband was getting out of jail in October, councilwoman's reply was, "no he's actually getting out this week-end and you will be handled with", now i don't know about you, but to me and alot of other people who have seen this say that, that was a threat if they have ever heard one, this threat was recorded, taped, and witnessed by the people who were at that meeting including the police chief, but when brown went to press charges on the councilwoman for threatening her, the police dept. told her that she could not press charges, now let me remind you that the councilwoman's husband has been in a federal prison for selling drugs and guns but yet our police dept doesn't think that Miss brown's life could be in danger. I say it's better to be safe then sorry, i also like to state that if it was Leesther Brown or any other resident who threaten a council member that person would have been escorted out by the police, probably arrested and most likely banned from attending public forums in city hall, along with having their face and name plastered all over the local newspaper and news, i also watched last nights council meeting and was shocked that not one person spoke about this very serious topic, nothing against Mr. Darrel Davis who i've know for years and we have mutual respect for one another, but this should of been one of the issues that he should have been addressing and not focusing so much on weather he works for the dept. of corrections or not now i know that he and Miss. brown have issues of their own but a threat to a resident of this city by a elected official is a threat to our community and as community activist that was the issue that needed to be addressed. Now i'm not trying to disrespect you in any way or form but you know me, i speak what i see and i see two people who really care about this city but because of past issues will not sit down and fight the issues of this city together, i like to see you and Miss. brown work together and if you need me to sit down with both of you then i'm in. WHAT YOU SAY
