Healthy aging is for everyone, whether you are 9 or 90!  Healthy habits established early in life will help you age well and live longer.  Exercise and good nutrition are two of the most powerful ways to promote aging well.  They are good for your mind and your body.  We all know fuits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins are good for us, but what do they really do to contribute to healthy aging?

  • Increase mental acuteness
  • Maintain a healthy immune system
  • Improve energy levels
  • Speed recovery from illness
  • Prevent & better manage chronic diseases
  • Emotional wellbeing

Exercise is equally important, especially for those over 65 years old who may be less likely to be physical active.  Benefits of exercise include:

  • Maintain strength & agility
  • Prevent & treat depression
  • Decrease pain
  • Improve confidence
  • Increase energy
  • Increase longevity
  • Maintain muscle & bone mass

Find one way to eat healthier or exercise more and keep it up.  You’ll be sure to age better and feel younger longer!
