Voting Begins in Pink Glove Dance Contest

Cortlandt Manor, NY - (October 25, 2013) – Hudson Valley Hospital Center is one of hundreds of hospitals and health organizations across the country who are rooting for their video to win $25,000 in the 2013 Med Line Pink Glove Video contest.

The competition, designed to raise awareness about breast cancer, started today and thousands of contestants and their supporters including employees at HVHC scrambled to put their team on top by voting in the on-line competition.

More than 200 Hudson Valley Hospital Center employees – from the Hospital President to the mailroom staff- donned pink gloves and performed for the cameras on Sept. 17. The employees with the help of videographer Dan Guillaro produced a video of the dance to enter in the contest. Online voting in the contest started today at noon and ends November 8 at midnight. The Hospital’s Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center and the Ashikari Breast Center as well as the staff of the entire hospital participated in the contest as a way to raise awareness about breast cancer in during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

The video production was organized by Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center administrative assistant Melissa Frissora and choreographed by Ashikari Breast Center physician assistant Cathy Schaffer.
