Visions for Vacancies: Cortlandt Manor Space Next to Home and Hearth

Let's call this a modern spin on community planning; a digital drawing board where all ideas are on the table.

We present a vacant space or property and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use. Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts many people to sleep. What would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

The first installment generated dozens of comments, and as did subsequent posts: the former Lakeland Sleep Shop, two Cortlandt Manor buildings and a spot in downtown Peekskill. Now we're hoping you'll weigh in on the space that sits next to Home & Hearth in Cortlandt Manor.

It's 5,300 square feet and the owner is interested to see "to see what Patch readers' creative juices come up with."

So, Peekskill and Cortlandt folks, the question is: What would you like to see in that space?
