Words & Music: Bach and Poetry, an Ekphrastic Event
The Westchester Poets Express presents an original performance of poetry to the tune of J.S. Bach. Using a technique called “Ekphrastic” poetry, which explores the beauty and meaning of other art forms, the poets will read nine poems in response to cellist Robert Kogan’s interpretation of Bach’s Suites for Solo Cello in C major and D minor.
