The 12th anniversary of the September 11 attacks is here, and folks from around Cortlandt and Peekskill will gather at ceremonies to pay tribute to those who lost their lives.

- Ceremony at 9/11 Memorial at Croton Landing: 3 p.m. Wednesday
- Patriot Day Turnaround Party: 7 p.m. Wednesday at (3695 Old Yorktown Road in Shrub Oak)
- Peekskill Fire Department 9/11 Memorial Ceremony paying tribute to NYFD Captain Sam Oitice, a Peekskill volunteer firefighter, and Peekskill Police Det. Charlie Wassill: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday
- Putnam Valley Fire Department 9/11 ceremony: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Town Park (Town Park Lane and North Street)
