Quiet Man to Feature Food from Titanic’s Menu

Fundraiser tonight will benefit parade; ship's Irish connections to be discussed.

Food based on menus from the ill-fated maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic will be served tonight at The Quiet Man Public House in Peekskill to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ocean liner’s sinking April 15, 1912, with the loss of more than 1,500 lives.

The event, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the 15 N. Division St. establishment, will include a discussion of the many Irish connections with the ship. Proceeds will help fund the 2013 St. Patrick’s Parade in Peekskill.

Cost of the event is $40 per person. For reservations and additional information please view the PDF accompanying this article.
