Energize Peekskill to Host Forum Tuesday

Session will show residents how to get free hom energy use assessments and apply for low cost loans for home energy improvements.

Worried about rising energy costs?

Well, Energize Peekskill is offering residents an opportunity to address those concerns during the organization’s informational session which takes place Tuesday, Oct.16, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., inside the children’s room of the Field Library in Peekskill.

The session, which Energize Peekskill is hosting in conjunction with the Peekskill Conservation Advisory Council, shows residents how to access free energy use audits and have access to low interest rate loans for home energy improvements.

Energy advisors will be on hand to answer questions and help guide people through the home energy assessment process. Owners of single to four-family homes and qualified condo owners are welcome to attend.

Anyone interested in signing up for a free assessment should bring their  utility account number, or a copy of their utility bill.

Light refreshments will be served and free babysitting is available for Tuesday’s session. Anyone who needs babysitting is asked to come 15 minutes early.
