WHUD's Don Bennett to Emcee SPARC's 3rd Annual Gala Benefit

The event benefits people with developmental disabilities and special needs. It is on March 31 at Sleepy Hollow Country Club.

This information is a release from SPARC: WHUD’s and Peekskill Councilman Don Bennett will emcee SPARC’s 3rd Annual Gala Benefit taking place on March 31st at 7:30pm at Sleepy Hollow County Club. The price per person to attend is $100.

SPARC (Special Programs and Resource Connection) is a Westchester-based not- for-profit that annually serves over 1,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs through therapeutic services and recreational and social programs.

The honorees for the evening will be Citibank Branch Manager/Vice- President Regina Servidio, the H.O.P.E. for Youth Foundation and, and the Silverberg family. The event will include a cocktail buffet, a whiskey tasting (from 8-9pm), live music, a special Moroccan dance performance, a silent auction and raffle, and a cash bar.

SPARC’s dynamic and meaningful leisure experiences provide participants with a peer network and integration into their communities. SPARC’s professional service providers guide youth and adults to develop basic life skills, overcome personal challenges, and gain independence and self-esteem. Additionally, SPARC provides creative after-school activities in elementary schools through their Kid’s Express Program, teaching children about being a good friend and handling socially challenging situations (www.kids-express-sparc.org)
