Master Nicholas Canaan and his Lodge Officers for the 2013-14 Masonic Year

On Thursday, June 6th, Courtlandt Lodge #34 Free and Accepted Masons held its 220th Annual Installation of Officers. In his remarks to the attending visitors and Masons, newly elected Master of Courtlandt Lodge Nicholas Canaan discussed the group's eagerness to participate in local community events, stating "We come from all walks of life. We are bound by our Masonic teachings to cherish all aspects of human achievement: science, literature, art, history, language, music, and religion. As Masons we have a responsibility to contribute to the betterment of the communities that fostered us. Masonry teaches us that what we do matters. That nothing is trivial. I look forward to working with you all as we dedicate ourselves to this principle in the coming year."
