Snow; Vote on $6.2M Hen Hud Project; Dog Trainer Talk

1) Lisa J. Edwards, author of A Dog Named Boo and a nationally certified professional dog trainer, will pay a visit to the Hendrick Hudson Free Library this evening.

2) The vote on a $6,200,000 capital project that would improve infrastructure (safety and security, septic system replacement, plumbing, HVAC and electrical) and technology (network and bandwidth upgrades, reliability and storage, cabling and electrical, access points for WiFi, laptops, etc., Smartboards and classroom furniture) is today, regardless of delays or closures.

According to the district, there will be no tax increase this year. For 2015-2016, tax increase will be 0.48-percent. The next year taxes will increase another 1.13-percent, and then will begin to decrease slightly starting in 2017-2018.

3) The National Weather Service is calling for snow before 3 p.m. in Cortlandt and Peekskill. Accumulation will likely be between one and two inches. Expect a high of about 33 degrees.
