Security Exercise at Indian Point Friday, June 17

You may see emergency vehicle near the plant throughout the day tomorrow for the exercise.

From Indian Point Energy Center:  Entergy will be conducting a security response exercise at the Indian Point Energy Center on June 17 beginning around 7 a.m. and continuing through around 5 p.m. The exercise will involve local, state and federal law enforcement and emergency service responders, and others. During the drill local residents may see police vehicles responding to Indian Point.

“We are taking steps to notify the public now that they may see emergency service and police vehicles near Indian Point so there is no undue alarm caused by this exercise,” said Joe Pollock, IPEC’s site vice president and top Entergy official at the plant.
