A 27-year-old Peekskill man who is accused of selling alcohol to a minor was arrested after an underage drinking compliance check, officials said Sunday.
State troopers at the Cortlandt barracks arrested the man, a clerk at Mohegan Wine & Liquors in the Cortlandt Town Center, on East Main Street in Mohegan Lake, during an inspection of about a dozen businesses. The other establishments "passed the compliance check by refusing to sell alcohol to the undercover minor," according to authorities.
The defendant is facing a misdemeanor charge of prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage. He is due in Cortlandt Justice Court this week.
