Police: Mohegan Lake Man Switches Price Tag of Item at Home Depot

A 42-year-old Mohegan Lake man is facing a criminal charge for switching the price tag on an item that he purchased for a lower price at Home Depot, state police said.

The man was arrested on Nov. 6 and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor.

State police were dispatched to Home Depot in Cortlandt to investigate the theft. The loss prevention team at that location said the man switched the price tag on an item that he purchased, making the item approximately $40 cheaper.

The man was scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Town Court on Nov. 15.
