Firefighters Battle Fierce Montrose Blaze

"Battling a fire is tough enough, but with snow and ice on the ground and a wind chill factor below zero, this one was nothing short of brutal on the men fighting this inferno," wrote Deputy Chief John Munson of the fire that devastated The Cortlandt Arts Center in Montrose on Friday, Jan. 3.

According to a report on News Channel 12, the center, which contained art, suffered "extensive damage" and will have to relocate.
