Team Brittany Fundraiser Draws More than 200 to the Quiet Man

The event, which took place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m,. was held to raise money  for the medical expenses of in August.

Brittany Hayes, one of the organizers of the fundriaser, said more than 200 people were in attendance and that the event raised more $15,000. Another $7,000 has been raised online through:www.wepay.com/donations/341157889.

Hayes said she expected at least another $5,000 to come in.

“I’m just in awe at the response,” DiDonato said Monday night. “It’s a little overwhelming, but it’s just nice to see everyone.”

Another fundraiser is scheduled to take place on 6 p.m. to 10 pm. on May 23 inside Piazza Roma, located at 3131 E. Main St. in Mohegan Lake.
