The Town of Cortlandt has issued a notice advising residents that two local roads will be closed Wednesday afternoon and into the night.
Here are the details, as provided by the town at about 12:15 p.m.
"In an effort to facilitate the emergency removal of a hazardous tree, Gallows Hill Road has been closed to through traffic between Kingston Avenue and Adair Road. Pumphouse Road will also be closed beginning at 3 this afternoon. We urge motorists to utilize Sprout Brook Road as an alternate route. We anticipate that this closure will continue until midnight tonight. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause."
