Located on the corner of Nelson Ave. and Central Ave., the Peekskill Police Department is made up of 60…More law-enforcement agents that make up  patrol, records and detective divisions; a community policing unit, Office of Emergency Management and Animal Control. The department patrols the four and one-half square mile area of Peekskill.   </p> <p>The department stives to prevent crime, protect the residents and businesses of Peekskill and maintain order in the community. The department also works to establish communication with community groups and agencies in order to foster cooperation in solving problems and improving quality of life. </p>

City of Peekskill Court is located in the same building as the Police Department and in the same John E. Hayes Sr.…More Plaza as the Northern Westchester BOCES, Field Library and Peekskill Senior Citizen Servies. The Senator Bernard B. Gordon Justice Building and City Court are adjacent to each other. </p> <p>City Court hears a variety of cases, including traffic, criminal, small claims and civil cases.  Citizens pay vehicle and traffic tickets at City Court but pay parking tickets at City Hall, located across Main Street from the Court. </p> <p>Hon.  Thomas Langan and Hon. William Maher are the court justices.</p>
