Mary Kennedy Found Dead on Bedford Estate

Police were called to "an unattended death" at 1:36 p.m. in an out-building on the property.

Mary Kennedy, the 52-year-old estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was found dead in her Bedford home today.  The Kennedy family released a statement to the press Wednesday evening: "We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her. Our heart goes out to her children who she loved without reservation. We have no further comment at this time." The Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed her death to Patch. They will be conducting an autopsy Thursday morning to determine the cause. County Prisoner Charged with Selling Coke to Undercover Cop

The following information was provided by the Peekskill Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. County Prisoner Charged with Selling Coke to Undercover Cop A 48-year-old Peekskill man who is in Westchester County Jail on an unrelated charge, was additionally charged with three counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, for selling powered cocaine to an undercover police officer on multiple occasions. Detectives Joe McGann and Anthony Malfitano charged te county prisoner, Gordon Smith, following an eight month investigation conducted jointly with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. Smith was arraigned in Peekskill City Court and returned to the Westchester County Jail. Croton …

Peekskill Police Reportedly Catch Peekskill Man with Stolen Car from Yonkers

The car was reported as stolen by an acquaintance of the driver.

The following information was provided by the Peekskill Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. Peekskill officers working anti-crime stopped 37-year-old Peekskill man Marc Duplessy for a minor traffic violation on May 8 at 10:50 p.m. on the 300 block of Ringgold Street. Police learned the vehicle had been reported as stolen out of the City of Yonkers by an acquaintance of Duplessy and took him into custody on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. They also found him to be in possession of marijuana so he was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Duplessy was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

Police Charge State Prisoner for Selling Heroin in Monument Park Area

The following information was provided by the Peekskill Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Peekskill police Detectives Joe McGann and Anthony Malfitano charged 34-year-old Jason Lowery, of Peekskill, with four counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, on May 10 at 2:40 p.m. The charges came following an eight-month long undercover investigation conducted jointly with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. Lowery sold Heroin on four occasions to an undercover police officer around the 500 block of Highland Ave., the Monument Park area. Lowery, who is currently incarcerated in state prison on an unrelated charge, was arraigned in Peekskill City Court and returned to the Downstate Correctional Facility.

Police Arrest Man on PCP Screaming in the Middle of Welcher Ave.

The 27-year-old Peekskill man was found with PCP on him, police said.

The following was provided by the Peekskill police. It does not indicate a conviction. Police officers encountered a man under the influence of PCP screaming in the middle of the intersection of Albany Post Rd. and Welcher Ave. on May 8 at 11:20 p.m. Officers found him after they were dispatched to an "unwanted party" at the Mobil Gas station near that location. The man allegedly on PCP, Jose Suarez, a 27-year-old Peekskill resident, was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and found to be in possession of a small quantity of PCP. State Police Make Six DWI Arrests, Issue 56 Tickets During Two Day Sobriety Enforcement

The New York State police conducted the saturation details in Cortlandt and the Sprain Brook Parkway May 11 and 12.

New York State Police made multiple DWI arrests during a roving DWI sobriety enforcement details, concentrated on Route 6 in Cortlandt and on the Sprain Brook Parkway on May 11 and 12. Police made the following arrests: Nicholas Seibert, 23, of Highland Falls, NY, was arrested for DWI. Seibert was arrested and processed at State Police Cortlandt without incident and issued traffic tickets returnable to Cortlandt on May 25. Joseph Schepisi, 40, of White Plains, NY, was arrested for DWI. Officials Announce Fund for Survivor of Fatal Fire

Police have not yet released information on a cause.

Folks looking to show their support for Thomas Sullivan Jr. — the 20-year-old Carmel man whose four family members died in a fire May 1—can now do so through a benefit fund. A recent press release from the office of Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell announced the news. Donations should be made out to the following: The Thomas J. Sullivan Jr. Fund (P.O. Box 473, Commack, NY 11725). Police have not yet announced a cause. Carmel Police Chief Mike Johnson said on Wednesday that a joint investigation by members of his agency, as well as the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team, was still underway. Justice, Punishment Sought in Chamberlain Shooting

Speakers at White Plains rally decry the lack of indictments in the death of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr.

NAACP representatives and others renewed demands Saturday for accountability and punishment in the case of a White Plains man fatally shot by police responding to his medical-alert alarm. The man, Kenneth Chamberlain Sr., was 68 and wielding a knife, police said, when he was shot last November in his apartment in the Winbrook housing complex. The killing has sparked a furious community backlash, a subsequent grand jury investigation and, still under way, a federal civil-rights probe. Six people were charged with drunken driving in a special DWI crackdown on Friday and Saturday in Westchester County, according to State Police.
