I keep hearing about how good Obama care is and when I ask people(liberals) what plan they have theyRead More are so uniformed they don't know and can't find out.
Dan Byer July 25, 2014 at 11:52 am
I firmly believe that the goals of the Affordable Care Act are noble, necessary, solid, andRead More attainable. The plan is not perfect, but it's far better than the alternative: doing nothing and continuing to let the system screw over the people. This court ruling is just a blatant play on the conservative propaganda aimed at the uninformed consumer. "Hey! Obamacare is going to make you pay more!" NO. We are not fools. It is only your b.s. obstructionist court ruling that is going to make the consumer pay more. Stay out of the way. Let it run it's course. It WILL work.

This is what happens when you leave the decisions about how to run a power plant up toRead More administrators and lawyers, who know absolutely nothing about it, rather than to the engineers who actually know something about the subject.

I saw a dog yesterday at about 11;30 a.m. that looked like mya. had a red collar and was eating fromRead More what looked like garbage bag ,just past Rits;s bar going south on Broadway. The dog looked like it was hungry. Don't stop looking for her . If I had not been alone I would have stopped and looked closer . Good luck I will keep my eyes pealed.
CD July 25, 2014 at 08:06 am
Free advice: Don't tie your dog up when you "run into the store for just a minute". YouRead More wouldn't tie your kid up, would you? Show you're responsible enough to own a dog and leave the it at home if you need to run an errand.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Patch file photo.
amerpatriot July 24, 2014 at 08:41 am
The astonishing similarities of governing style between Cuomo and Obama don't end with them. TheRead More entire Liberal Left thinks that's how government can now be run. Lie your a-- off, do what the hell you want when you get into "office". To hell with the rule of law - "I'm the new sheriff now." Laws? What laws. We don need no stinking laws heh, heh heh!!!

And here I was thinking the Imperial Governor was the lead presidential candidate if Hillary choosesRead More not to run for health or other reasons. Not sure he can dodge this one. I feel a sense of relief that the evidence is so strong that even the NY Times can't ignore it. Regardless, you can count on NY to re-elect the Governor no matter what new corrupt behavior is uncovered to add to his HUD track record contributing to the financial crisis, SAFE Act in the middle of the night, TV commercials championing NY's economic climate, and the list goes on.

There isn't anything that's going to make the bluest state vote red. The more corrupt the better!!!

I'm not making a statement as to whether he is guilty or innocent. The courts will do that.Read More However, whether she consented or not is irrelevant. The rape charge references her age. She is below the age of consent, therefore the fact that she was consensual is irrelevant.

Ms Trish , I'm a little confused , it says he knew that she was 14 !!! But like I said earlier theRead More young lady , deserve a good kick in her ass ,

Reporters write what they hear or are told..doesn't mean its actually all true..he hasn't beenRead More convicted.. Two sides of a story..I'm just saying...she was sneaking out..maybe they were both wrong..

I have never understood the concept of consumers paying twice as much for produce simply because theRead More grocer asserts that it is "organic". After all, how does the consumer know whether it actually is "organic" or not? He only has the grocer's word for it. I have asked people that I have encountered buying "organic" produce about this, and they invariably look at me like I'm crazy, shake their heads and walk away. As far as I'm concerned, they are the crazy ones.
Roz Bratter July 23, 2014 at 05:13 pm
I bought the recalled nectarines and plums from Mrs. Green's in Briarcliff Manor. I thoughtRead More "organic" was safer but..I guess not. In the garbage they go!

One thing is for sure: this contaminated fruit will not be a total financial loss. If worse comesRead More to worst it will be sold to ship chandlers, who in turn will sell it to ships as provisions for the crews. After all, nobody cares if seafarers get sick or die. I was a seaman for 30 years and have seen it happen many times.

There is a simpler solution to this issue. Maybe it might be best to not make or be in a porn videoRead More in the first place. This is just common sense. The state cannot always protect fools.
Terry P July 22, 2014 at 09:45 am
As a father and grandfather, I am sick to death of these morons who insist on getting behind theRead More wheel when they are drunk. I believe every alcohol or drug related conviction should carry mandatory prison time. Not county jail; state prison.

It actually could be either. But if you are in an intimate relationship with someone where these pixRead More are used for mutual gratification, and the relationship ends, the point of the law is that the pix should not be able to be used against you at a later time. Not the same behavior as teenagers "sexting" necessarily but if your teen did this as many teens do without thinking of the extent of the consequences, you would be happy to know there is recourse for them too.
amerpatriot July 22, 2014 at 08:41 am
Not nec... pictures/videos taken with permission at the time, but later used without permissionRead More (revenge), or after permission has been revoked or assumed revoked. If in a relationship and give permission, then when you want to take back that permission, email yourself and all parties involved that you have rescinded permission. At least the timeline stops there. Anything after that could be a felony as described in this new law.
Terry P July 22, 2014 at 09:17 am
Sounds to me like another well-intentioned, but ultimately unenforceable law, created to make peopleRead More believe they have recourse. I'm guessing in the vast majority of potential cases, they will never be able to pin the action on anybody.
This guy deserves his bad reputation.
