Tucker it doesn't really matter what he did for a living, i will simply state he was one of the bestRead More people i ever had the pleasure to meet and become friends with, if you were having a bad day he had an uncanny knack of bringing a smile to your face.

"Brandi" I in no way was disparaging his employment. Just the Patch's grammar.

this lowlife dirtbag should be hung by his feet over that cinco de mayo banner hanging on route 6Read More near beach shopping center, if you notice there are always about 20 buzzards flying around in circles in that area they will be glad to have their own fiesta, and we the taxpayers would'nt have to pay for his three hots and a cot. if there ever was a case that warrants the death penalty, this is it, it wasn't a murder, it was a execution, Terry was a good friend of mine, he would give you the shirt off his back, and if that shirt didn't fit you he would buy you one that would, his passion was to make everyone he met happy and he would do that every day from 5:00am to midnight and get up the next day and do it all again with his famous smile. MY FRIEND YOU ARE GONE, BUT I WANT TO LET YOUR FAMILY KNOW THAT YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, NOT AS LONG AS I'M ALIVE. and to the lowlife, may you rot in hell you lowlife scum.

some here will surely say any drug bust is major. I found an article on that bust in the otherRead More place. if it is inaccurate please correct me. http://archive.lohud.com/article/20131024/NEWS02/310240057/12-arrested-Westchester-heroin-ring that article makes no mention of it being a major drug bust, mostly because it probably wasn't. What makes you think it was major.the amount of people? in your case they were charged with criminal possession and sale in the third degree not first degree as in this article. a-1 felony here vs b felonies there. mandatory 8-20 on 1 charge here possibly no jail time there or max of 2.5 on possession + 9 yrs on the sale. If they do the max they will probably due about the same time for their crimes as the minimum here give or take. apples and apples please. 9 of those yrs is on the sale in the 3rd which does not apply here due to the accidental nature of this case. no sting. sale, btw, appears to be 1 packet or more to someone who wants to buy it. I speak for no one buy me and that was not so major imo. if it was they would be rolling and spinning numbers on the bust like they did here This article is about distribution not selling to the junkies on the corner

some of these cases led to deaths of the drug users and some of these sellers or what ever role theyRead More played are being accused with murder charges (which is the "police expect additional charges" in the article you reference). Plus it wasn't one packet it was several thousand packets. -so in my eyes I think that's serious bust-to each his own.
Gloria R. April 24, 2014 at 03:59 pm
wrong again my friend. what it actually says in the article i linked to is "police expectRead More additional arrests" not charges-totally different. To me additional arrests indicates other people are expected to be arrested. What does it mean to you? . maybe since it was 6 months ago you could look around a bit and see and link to what if it any other arrests ever materialized. AND I never said it was one packet. I said "sale, btw, appears to be 1 packet or more to someone who wants to buy it" Not "the sale they were charged with was 1 packet" I was referencing back to "they were charged with criminal possession and sale" in the same post. sale was used in a general term. and selling 1 packet is still a sale. The article i linked to made no mention of thousands of packets and while nothing i said was inaccurate you could have posted a link to where you got your info.I also said this " I found an article on that bust in the other place. if it is inaccurate please correct me." not " I found an article on that bust in the other place. if it is accurate please correct me." which is exactly what you did . Now it is a "SERIOUS" bust !!. It might be serious, just not MAJOR You are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to twist, and misquote what other people say to bolster your claim. "some of these cases led to deaths of the drug users and some of these sellers or what ever role they played are being accused with murder charges" Murder 1-2 manslaghter?,Being accused by who.accused by relatives, friends, other junkies. Accused is not the same as being charged. Have they been charged and with what, If as you say, not the article, murder charges were brought against some in this bunch please link to it. don't just expect anyone to believe you, especially now. how tough is it to copy and paste link.

I want to root for the police, I really do; but when some a-hole flies by me, nearly hits my car orRead More is tailgating and I pass a cop who does NOTHING... It really diminishes my faith. They [not all but some] pull people over for bullshit and pull the power trip on innocent individuals who truly made mistakes or non-threatening/harmful offenses. But where the hell are they when the real risks are on the road??? How about they keep their patrols going for the crappy drivers EVERYDAY, and not just some appointed safety weeks.
knee jerk April 23, 2014 at 04:56 pm
Instead of calling it "Speed Week" or some other catchy tune, why not just call it what itRead More really is "Power Trip Week".

the funny part about these stings are how effing OBVIOUS they are. A kid walks in who clearly looksRead More like a kid and uses a bogus ID. There also happens to be a man 'talking on a cell phone' strolling around the establishment too. DURRRRRR. The prob is lack of IDing anyone under age 40. not worth the risk- just ask anyway.

KD Q April 23, 2014 at 01:07 pm
I own a 'professional'/ police grade breathalyzer and let me just say... I've thought myself asRead More pretty tipsy, thinking I would blow over the limit and would be too impaired to drive.. when in fact I've only blown a .06..... a .10 is most def drunk. except spare the aged drinker who prob barely feels it but its scary to think that .08 is our limit when it could actually be lowered.

I find it very difficult to have sympathy for someone who does drugs. Giving a false concept aboutRead More Narcan and telling folks it's going to save them, is false hope. Especially when drugs can be laced with other stuff where Narcan doesn't work. Why promote the "safe" use of drugs by providing an antidote that may not always work. I have a better idea: don't do drugs. Also, in many of our suburban areas the emergency services don't get called until someone is dead, found by mom and dad the next morning after the overdose. This is about education, not enabling our young people to do drugs and think it will all be ok if something happens because a cop will give them a nose full of Narcan.

The police already carry heart defibrillators for our bacon/egg/cheese eating residents. In NY theRead More State Police performed 170 saves out of 1095 attempts, or ~15%. Those 15% now mostly eat oatmeal and steamed broccoli for breakfast. Giving Nalaxone to the cops is no different in my view, and may result in a loser resident turning his life around for the good of all in the community. I'm no fan of drug abusing losers, but if the cops are going to show up anyway then they might as well try and save a life, even if it will be a very small percentage. I think this once again opens the debate on the readiness of our EMT/Paramedic services, not just for overdoses but for all medical emergencies. We keep increasing the expectations of our Police services but appear to continue to ignore our ambulances. Maybe it's time to give our EMT's some more responsibility or hire another paramedic or two.
DANI GARAVITo April 7, 2014 at 12:03 pm
John D makes a great point. EMS has always been treated as an after-thought, or the red headed childRead More of emergency services. Demanding that our local municipalities place some pressure on the local volunteer agencies to staff and respond quickly and appropriately would also be a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, too few people are willing to go to battle to demand a better and appropriate EMS response, whether that's a volunteer staffed ambulance or paid. Folks pay a hell of a lot of taxes in NYS, but get very very few municipal resources to show for it - especially when it comes to EMS.

Yes, it is disgusting that people enjoy watching little children being forced into sexual activity,Read More but even worse are the people who produce these videos and pictures....' These are real children and they are being destroyed by the depraved. Of course, there would be no need for child pornography if there was no demand for child pornography. It's just a vicious, evil cycle. Simply tragic.

What's going on with these guys? The DWI laws are apparently not a deterrent and must be modified toRead More ensure that there are no first offenses. Robert F. You should learn about St Francis of Assisi. But be forewarned, you might be shocked.
Robert F. March 26, 2014 at 01:17 pm
Brad, I am aware of St. Francis' compassion for animals and the annual blessing of the animals, etc.Read More Please do not confuse compassion with this disturbing trend towards exalting animals to the same level as humankind. God gave man dominion over the animals, as explained in Genesis. I'm no biblical scholar, but I think that if you are Christian, then what we are told in scripture supersedes our personal interpretation, which may include the mistaken idea that animals exist on an equal basis with man. I love animals and would never torment, kill or otherwise abuse an animal, but they exist for the use of man as a source of food, beasts of burden, companionship, etc. I just object to this increasing national confusion of priorities and values with respect to human and animal life.

Well Well Well you dumb idiots Peekskill and it's decent citizens and it's Diabolical City Gang ofRead More Cohorts have gotten a taste of its own medicine. Now it's our children and not the inner city kids dying from drug use. You see we all get a turn Minority children are incarcerated and their lives are treated as nothing. While your white privilege has amounted to the same nothing less. In other words our children aren't exempt from the tragedies of life. Minorities are incarcerated while Caucasians are killed by the use of drugs. It all comes together, now you see and feel what ever parent feels when a child is lost to prison or drugs, we sit around knowing this city is racist, whites don't step up to denounce the wrong, now your property is worthless. You don't get mad with News 12 when they uphold the Racism , by not reporting police brutality, police selling and using drugs. Children being Raped by City employes, and the corruption of city staff. Citizens being targeted by police who think they are above the law. I can go on and on. But basically Our city is plagued by a drug far more deadly then Heroin , the city is plagued with Racism and Corruption. The news reporter should have knocked on doors so minorities could tell their stories of Racism and selective enforcement. Peekskill got what it deserved. Don't complain deal with it , everyone else does. If you want to know just how corrupt Peekskill is review the footage of the cop taking the news reporter on a ride. Who in the hell is he to disrespect people. Now if they portray his behavior on camera, just imagine how people are disrespected when there's no camera. Gun Ho ass cop must be looking for a Reality Show.

P.S. Peekskill is the Wild West
joshua tanner March 29, 2014 at 05:01 pm
Cook you're last one who should be complaining about racism since you obviously have glee over theRead More idea of white kids dying from heroin. First of all Peekskill schools are only 16% white and 81% black and hispanic. White people have left Peekskill in droves so portraying it as some oppressive white enclave is dumb. Facts are, the illegal immigrants came in and ran circles around everyone as they took up the jobs and businesses and bought up the houses. You don't see them going around down calling each other racial slurs while wearing their pants around their legs while complaining about how racism is keeping them down. People cant have a 70% illegitimacy rate and expect to do well. Indeed any of the racist violence that was in Peekskill the past years has usually came from black youths robbing, beating (one almost died) and shooting immigrants (one who was killed). Peekskill immigrants have been scared of black kids and not the white ones. Still, after all that I have to take sides with the black kids who have been abandoned by the liberal pols who ditched them for immigrants and other agenda groups. They are the Americans and most of them are nice. Resentment is the losers anger Cook. You're only poisoning yourself with it.
