I didn't know his name until today after speaking with my mother who is a long time PeekskillRead More resident. Officer Charlie arrested me twice when I was a juvenile while I was at PHS. I remember him smiling as I tried to act like a tough punk kid. I always remembered him cause I turned myself around, had my cases expunged, and I myself joined the Marine Corps and served in IOF during the invasion. Thank you to my fellow brother and remember the doors of heaven are garden by United States Marines! Semper Fi

If you knew Mr Bass of if you rode in his taxi and have a fond remembernce, I'm sure his familyRead More would appreciate hearing about it. I know he drove people to hospital appointments and treatments and either did not charge, or only accepted token payment.

To the family of the deceased I am truly sorry for your lost, It’s never easy to loseRead More someone you love. The pane can sometimes be unbearable at the time, but there is hope! it is human and natural to grieve and we should not feel ashamed to let our grief be manifest. Even when tempered by the hope of the resurrection, the death of a loved one is still a traumatic loss, which is deeply felt. YES resurrection! Jesus performed that unforgettable resurrection in front of many eyewitnesses. It was a token of the future resurrection that he had predicted on an earlier occasion, when he said: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear [the Son of God’s] voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.”—John 5:28, 29 With this HOPE you can see your loved ones again. When death strikes a loved one, for example, hope can make a world of difference to the survivors. The apostle Paul wrote to the Christians at Thessalonica: “We do not want you to be ignorant concerning those who are sleeping in death; that you may not sorrow just as the rest also do who have no hope.”—1 THESSALONIANS 4:13. You are not dead. As a matter of fact nobody ever dies. You want to know why? Because you're goingRead More to live inside everybody who ever knew you, everyone you ever touched no matter how little. And the people who love you- your mom, your dad, your brothers, sisters, your friends at school- they're never going to stop thinking about you. Or talking about you. They're never going to forget you cause that never goes away. You're never going to die cause you were loved. Because you loved. You're going to live forever. We all will."
