<p>In September of 2003, Croton resident Hiten Shah opened his doors to welcome local area residents to his Peekskill retail shop.</p> <p>Smart Buy, on Park Street and Route 6, offers mostly gift items. One of its biggest sellers is Shah's half-priced cards, but there are reasonably-priced items for all occasions and needs, including toys, cards, lottery tickets, religious gifts and unique knickknack figurines.</p> <p>Shah enjoys working with the public and being able to provide a daily service to customers.</p> <p>"I am truly glad to sell the requirements of the community to the community."</p>
