<p>Walking into Peekskill's Bruised Apple Bookstore feels a bit like walking back through time. It is a bibliophile's dream.</p> <p>The store, which was established in 1993, offers everything from out-of-print or rare books to more popular texts. In addition, you can find a selection of used children's books, CDs, records and movies. </p> <p>Patrons can browse through the "outdoor" books and historical maps of the Hudson Valley that explore that part of New York's rich history. </p> <p>The store offers at least 50,000 titles, with nearly 200 subject headings. There is no end to browsing; once you've stepped inside, be prepared to stay for a while.</p>
