Here's a roundup of some of the events happening in Cortlandt and Peekskill this week:
Government
- City of Peekskill Committee of the Whole meeting 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25: Liaison reports, concerns and issues
- City of Peekskill Common Council meeting 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25: Peekskill BID holiday market and carnival, visitor center, recycling facilities, public hearing on the 2014 city budget (available online by clicking here)
- Town of Cortlandt town board work session Monday Nov. 25 (7 p.m. in the Nyberg Meeting Room)
- Board of education meeting 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26: 2014-2015 budget
- Board of education meeting at Hendrick Hudson High School library: budget calendar, four donations, special education meeting recommendations
- Report cards in Lakeland: They go home Tuesday, Nov. 26
The National Weather Service is calling for sunny and mostly sunny skies, along with highs in the low 30s, Monday, Thursday and Friday in Peekskill. There's a chance of snow Tuesday, following by possible afternoon showers and a high of 42 degrees. Wednesday will bring rain and a high of about 50 degrees.
