There will be a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon Tuesday followed by mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will see more sun, along with temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s.

In school news: There's a board of education meeting in Peekskill at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and it's picture day Friday at the high school for freshmen, sophomores and juniors. There's a Hall of Fame Committee meeting at Hendrick Hudson High School tonight at 7, and Walter Panas will have a pep rally Friday.
