First Annual Peekskill High Golf Invitational; 2014 City Budget

Today's weather looks partly sunny, with a high of 68 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tuesday should be slightly warmer and sunnier. There's a small chance Wednesday could bring some rain in the afternoon; otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies and a high of 72 degrees. Thursday could see showers. The week will wrap up with mostly sunny skies and a high of about 65 degrees.

Today is Columbus Day, a federal holiday. That means government offices and schools are closed. Some banks are, too, and so is the Field Library.

In school news: The first annual Peekskill High School Golf Invitational, benefitting the annual honor societies scholarship fund, is scheduled for Tuesday. Lakeland schools will host a math night Wednesday for students in grades kindergarten through fifth. Over at Hendrick Hudson, sign-ups for high school winter sports starts Tuesday.
