Santa's Workshop Takes Over Hudson Valley Hospital

Volunteers wrapped hundreds of toys for children in need.

At the 16th annual Santa's Helpers day, dozens of hospital volunteers wrapped more than 800 toys for children in need. The hospital's Wagner room was packed with happy volunteer elves who were quick with their wrapping. Tall piles of presents along the perimeter of the room surrounded the helpers. Santa was there to superivse the wrapping and even helped out an elf or two.

The hospital spent $125 per child on 103 children and local companies made donations as well.

Danny's Cycle in Mohegan Lake will deliver a new bicycle to an 11-year-old boy who lives in a group home and Freight Liquidators granted the wish of a 5-year-old grild who wanted her first real bed. Hospital staff bough the linens.
